Check the mute switch — Gamelan Lab plays even with it on, but if audio still doesn't start, a red banner appears at the top of the app; try relaunching. If a track's volume is at zero or the wrong track is soloed, a "Solo active" notice appears in the transport bar with a one-tap Clear button.

No — the underlying gamelan recording didn't include every note for every instrument (Gender Barung degree 4, Gambang degrees 4 & 7). Those three notes were reconstructed by measuring this gamelan's own tuning and pitch-shifting the nearest real recording to match — documented in the app's Library → Credits section.

Pélog and Sléndro aren't equal-tempered, so there's no exact MIDI note number for a gamelan degree. Export uses Pitch Bend, measured from this gamelan's real samples via FFT analysis, to correct each note to its actual pitch — a DAW or synth that respects Pitch Bend will play back close to the real tuning, not a flattened Western approximation.

Gamelan Lab installs an Audio Unit instrument extension automatically. In GarageBand (or any other AUv3 host), add an Audio Unit instrument track and select "Gamelan Lab." Choose which instrument and scale it plays from the app's Export tab, under "Use as Instrument (AUv3)" — changes sync live, even while the host has it loaded.
