Why do some notes sound "out of tune"?
Dastgahs use microtonal intervals (for example quarter-tones) that differ from the 12-tone piano scale. That is intentional.
Are the tunings exact?
They are working approximations for study and composition, based on Hormoz Farhat, The Dastgah Concept in Persian Music. Tuning varies between performers and schools.
How do I use the AUv3?
In GarageBand, AUM or another AUv3 host, add "Dastgah Lab" as a Music Device. It generates tempo-synced MIDI that you route to your own instrument.
I hear no sound.
Check the silent switch and volume, and that the Mixer layer is not muted.
