Frequently Asked Questions

What does Auditivo include?
Four training areas: Ear Training (intervals, chords, scales, melodic dictation, chord inversions, voice leading, harmonic progressions), Rhythm (tap exercises, rhythm dictation, compound meter), Theory (building intervals, chords, and scales), and Sight Reading. Plus a Musical Path with a structured curriculum and a Daily Session.

Do I need to read music to use Auditivo?
No. Most exercises are purely by ear โ€” you listen and respond. Sight reading starts from the basics.

How does the Rhythm Tap exercise work?
A written rhythm is shown on screen. After a 4-beat count-in, tap the pad in time. Your accuracy is scored and each beat is shown as hit or missed.

Does Auditivo use the microphone?
Only the Sing the Note exercise uses the microphone to detect pitch in real time. Microphone access can be managed in iOS Settings โ†’ Auditivo.

Is my progress saved?
Yes, all progress is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I change the tempo?
Yes. Most exercises include a BPM menu in the top bar.

What languages are supported?
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Privacy

Auditivo does not collect any personal data, does not require an account, and does not connect to the internet. All processing happens entirely on-device. Microphone audio (used only in Sing the Note) is processed locally and never recorded or transmitted.
